Iowa Athletic Club is a made-from-scratch restaurant and sports bar (not a fitness facility) in Coralville, IA is looking for Cooks to join our team!

At Iowa Athletic Club, our kitchen is built around scratch-made recipes and delivers an outstanding dining experience. Every shift offers the opportunity to learn, stay busy, and work alongside teammates who support one another while preparing food with consistency and care.

Compensation: $15 - $22 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule:

• Part-time opportunities available
• Availability for evening shifts Thursday - Sunday is strongly preferred

Responsibilities:

• Prepare workstations with ingredients, equipment, and supplies before each shift
• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, portioning, mixing, and sauce preparation
• Prepare menu items using grilling, sautéing, frying, broiling, and other cooking techniques while following recipes and quality standards
• Follow food safety, sanitation, labeling, and storage procedures
• Keep kitchen work areas clean, organized, and stocked throughout service
• Complete assigned cleaning, inventory, and food storage tasks
• Communicate effectively with kitchen leaders and teammates to maintain efficient service
• Assist with additional back-of-house responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous restaurant or line cook experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to stand and move throughout the kitchen for extended periods
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
