Iowa Athletic Club is a made-from-scratch restaurant and sports bar (not a fitness facility) located next to Xtream Arena, and we’re hiring experienced Line Cooks to join our team.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys cooking in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in preparing high-quality food. You'll work with a supportive team, fresh ingredients, and a menu built from scratch while helping create a great dining experience for our guests..

Pay: $15/hour and up, based on experience

Schedule: Part-time, primarily evenings, with weekend availability (especially Sundays) preferred.

Full-time Benefits: Available for all full-time employees who work on average 35 hours per week or more.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and stock ingredients and supplies for service
• Prep ingredients: chop, mix, make sauces, and portion proteins
• Cook menu items to specification using grilling, frying, sautéing, and other methods
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment and follow all food safety standards
• Perform inventory checks and complete food storage logs
• Communicate clearly with chefs and management to keep the line running smoothly
• Assist with opening, closing, and other kitchen duties as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 6+ months line cook experience preferred
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and willingness to learn
