Front-of-House Restaurant Manager

Iowa Athletic Club is a made-from-scratch restaurant and sports bar (not a fitness facility) is hiring an experienced Front of House Restaurant Manager to join our team.

We are looking for a proven leader with a background in FOH restaurant operations, customer service, and team management. Starting Pay: starting at $50,000 per year and up based on experience.

Schedule: This is a full-time exempt position, shifts include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Full-time staff BENEFITS: Available for all full-time employees who work 30 hours per week or more on average.

Responsibilities

  • Lead FOH pre-shift meetings, coaching, and staff briefings
  • Manage daily FOH operations including hosts, servers, and bartenders
  • Coach, train, and develop FOH staff to ensure excellent guest service
  • Monitor team performance, productivity, and adherence to Iowa Athletic Club standards
  • Step in for FOH roles as needed including hosting, serving, bartending, or expo
  • Track and report facility or equipment issues
  • Engage guests, resolve concerns, and create exceptional experiences
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of FOH management or supervisory experience
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • ServSafe certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
